In a recent interview with Freed Zakaria (Time, October 18, 2010) Premier Wen Jiabao of China was asked if he had read any books recently that impressed him.  The Premier responed that he always took two books with him when he travelled.  Which two books does thePremier of China take with him when he travels?

    “History is like a mirror” “Those who don’t know their history are doomed to repeat it” How do you know where you are going till you know where you have been” These quotes are all saying the same thing and Premier Jiabao understands this with his book choices. History is about the past but it also about the future. Technology, world events change over time but how people react to those changes doesn’t and thats where reading thease ideas from a past century can help propel China in the 21st century.

  3. Dave – You are correct. amazing that the Premier of China would carry with him a book written by the father of the market system. If our leaders read a little more widely, we might not have so many difficulities domestically and globally.
